Why are Values important?

Values are the guiding principles that steer an organisation through turbulent waters and calm seas alike, much like sails propel a sailing boat forward. In the realm organisational culture, these values form the very fabric of what defines a brand, influencing decisions, actions, and ultimately shaping our brand's identity, image and actions.

Firstly, values are crucial because they provide a moral compass for decision-making and behavior within an organisation. The next step is to define each value and provide associated behaviours and paramaters around these values, clearly stating what is and isnt acceptable behaviours.  This way the values set the tone of the culture around behaviours and what is expected from each employee, also around what is not tolerated or is considered unacceptable with an emphasis on best practices for each of the values.
